Screening of the film The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr. West in the Land of the Bolsheviks (1924) by Lev Vladimirovič Kulešov, introduced by Pietro Montani

The symposium will focus on the interpolations of Eisenstein's and Vertov's styles,  with specific attention to editing and materialism, theoretical principles of “Philosophy of History" and precursory examples of modern Cybercinema.
This day will start the events devoted to the celebrations of the Centenary of October Revolution, curated by Pietro Montani and Giovanni Spagnoletti, organized by Fondazione Archivio Audiovisivo Movimento Operaio e Democratico (AAMOD), Fondazione Istituto Gramsci.
