Fucking Good Art is a magazine or travelling editorial project founded in 2003 by Dutch artists and non-academic free-style researchers Rob Hamelijnck and Nienke Terpsma.
The artists/editors are in Le Locle, a small watchmaker town in the Swiss Jura, where they are artists in residence in Luxor Factory for one month. They are in search of the traces of early anarchism by exploring the publishing of journals and pamphlets in archives and libraries. The research for the new issue of Fucking Good Art (FGA#33) is focused on how these journals were made, distributed, and by whom, as well as on finding more about the archives they are kept in—which is almost like a second life cycle of circulation—keeping everything available.
From 1 – 30 April Rob and Nienke will report on their findings on an ‘offline’ paper blog called Side-by-Side, which will be sent out by email on a daily basis to a ‘real’ social network made of 16 art spaces/friends located all over Europe, with whom they have collaborated before on issues of FGA.
Come and read Rob and Nienke's proceedings and discoveries at Nomas Foundation!
