“The container is not silent.
The container is not even empty.
Or better it is full of emptiness
.”
Chiara Camoni

On the occasion of the exhibition by Chiara Camoni, Gli immediati dintorni (The Immediate Surroundings), Nomas Foundation hosts the workshop Pieni di vuoti/Vuoti di pieni, which focuses on some of the main themes addressed by the artist's research: the flow of time, rituals as a necessary condition for creation, the value of the artefact, its primitive form and the endless results that can be obtained from a simple process.
During the exhibition the audience will be invited to take part in the creation of the work Vasi (2013-2015), small clay containers that in the past were also intended as gifts.
Realizing the artefacts, the participants will take part in a "collective" work in progress, activating potential relationships, storytelling and rediscovering ancient manufacture techniques.
The project derives from Nomas Foundation’s desire to open its spaces to a broader audience, offering the opportunity to complete the experience of visiting the exhibition, delving in the artist’s practice from a different point of view.
At the end of the exhibition each participant can either take home the produced work or choose to donate it to the artist.
